Patent Abstract
An air freshener with a device configured to maintain an air freshener's
ability to disseminate a constant odor to an environment. The device
incrementally advances the position of an air freshening composition
such that an effective amount to maintain the air freshening odor
is consistently exposed to the surrounding environment.
An air freshener and combination container and lid for forming
an air freshener. The air freshener includes a scented wax solid,
a container, a lid, and an attachment for attaching the container
to a surface. The container is manufactured of a thermally conductive
material and has a bottom and at least one sidewall defining an
interior, an exterior, and an open top. The interior of the container
is dimensioned such that scented wax solid fits within the interior.
The lid is removably attached to the open top of the container and
includes a seal and a plurality of vent openings disposed therethrough.
The air freshener prevents liquid wax from escaping through the
vent openings when the container is moved in a direction parallel
to the bottom of the container.
Patent Claims
A method for providing a desired fragrance includes securing a
tacky attachment surface of a pad of an air freshener to a surface
by mechanical or specific adhesion. The air freshener includes a
scent material carried by and dispersable through a coherent, flexible
and resilient polymer carrier material. The pad is selectively removed
from the surface. The pad can be selectively re-secured at a different
position on the surface.
Patent Description
An air freshener has a base. The base has scented material therein.
An abutment is connected to said base. A guide which accommodates
a portion of a paper towel holder is connected to said abutment.
The air freshener in an installed has an external surface of the
abutment in frictional contact with an internal surface of the paper
towel tube so that the air freshener will rotate when the paper
towel tube is rotated by conventional means.
A static air freshener has a frame formed of or with plastic beads
impregnated with a scent or aroma. The rate of release of the scent
is controlled by the area of the frame to define the useful life
of the air freshener. An insert may be place in a void defined by
the frame. The insert has a thematic image that may be correlated
to a thematic image on the header card of a bag or sack sized to
contain the air freshener for positioning at or on the point of
sale device.
An air freshener device includes a scent material interspersed
within a polymer body or a polymer gel, and capable of dispersing
out of the polymer gel. The polymer body and a polymer gel can be
flexible and compressible, and also resilient and returnable to
its original configuration. In addition, the polymer body and the
polymer gel can have a freestanding, self-supported, three-dimensional
shape. The air freshener can include a tacky or clingy attachment
surface to contact and cling to a support surface by mechanical
or specific adhesion.
Described is a substantially rigid aqueous clear gel matrix air
freshener article having included therein one or more gel matrix
icons, the dimensions of which, on use of the article, decrease
in proportion to the dimensions of the body of the air freshener
article in which the icons are suspended and imbedded. The article
contains water; gel matrix material which can be a hydrolyzed protein
gel material such as gelatin or a polysaccharide gel material such
as gellan gum; a system-compatible air freshener fragrance composition
contained in one or more of the icons and/or contained in the gel
matrix air freshener body; and a surfactant contained in the body.
Kits for consumer activated hydrogel air fresheners are provided,
comprising a gel forming superabsorbent polymer resin, a fragrancing
material, and a coloring agent. The kit may take various forms,
such as a container in which are packaged the appropriate amounts
of resin, fragrance, and colorant, to which a volume of gel forming
liquid is to be added. In another form, the kit may comprise a sachet
or pad containing the above materials, to which liquid may be added
to form a gel air freshener device. Further, a pad or sachet, containing
the gel forming resin, and a coloring agent if desired, may be subjected
to the controlled continuous feed of a water solution of a fragrance,
whereby a long term, consistent fragrancing is obtained. |
